I had the privilege of attending some of the Craft Shows that took place on Saturday, November 16 2013 in Virginia Beach, VA. First I went to the ST Gregory’s Catholic Church Craft Show and found a nice variety of vendors and crafters ranging from precious gems jewelry to handmade Christmas ornaments. It was a room full of so many nice people and beautiful creations. These shows can provide you with the perfect opportunity to give that special person a unique gift.
My second discovery was found at the Providence Elementary School Holiday Sale where the vendors had jewelry, candle warmers, handbags, flags and gifts, colorful bows, health supplements, handmade soaps, baking and cooking tools for the holidays, fragrances, etc. It was a first time craft show and there were very different vendors who offered a good shopping experience.
I ended up at the Kempsville Recreation Center Santa Stocking and there were so many crafters that it was hard to decide what to get among that group of talented artists. I had the chance to speak with crafters that I know and new crafters that I had the chance to learn about their art. I would like to say hello to Stephany and Jenny of Simply Precious who produce some of most colorful tutus and princess wands as well as bands, caps and bows. Hello to Mindi Friedman another talented artist of handmade quality unique hair bows. Then there are the Florals and Collectibles by Lewis, Bruce McGarry with his Stained Glass Creations and Don’t Fret Jewelry by Deborah Louise where the jewelry is created from recycled guitar strings. There were many, many others and they were all so wonderful. Please go out to these shows and just explore your choices for yourself and gifts for others.
Where is the next opportunity to experience one of these Shows?? Try the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake, VA. The Holiday Craft Show is Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Conference Center and see the large variety of vendors and crafters. Come out and find your treasure. Support these small business persons who will help you seek out that special item for yourself or those friends and family who would love that one of a kind item.
